In this workshop, Dan Ozbörne will guide you as you paint an atmospheric, grim-dark character, using beginner-friendly techniques applicable to everything from Warhammer to Dungeons & Dragons. Learn to combine simple techniques with Villainy Ink oil washes to create a moody atmosphere quickly.
Dan has taught classes around the world, including the Warhammer Open events, Adepticon and Las Vegas Open. He specializes in weathering techniques and awesome robots.
No advanced painting experience required. All paints and models provided. Students need only bring or purchase brushes.

Not everything in the future is human. So how do you paint a convincing skin tone on an alien? For this class we’ll be painting the skin of an Ork, but the principles can be applied to any other 40K alien – Tau, Eldar, etc. Techniques used to do this are undercoating, base layers, shades, layering, and glazing.
Models and paint for the class will be provided.
